I've observed it frequently from my friends and the range of the role-model were varied. They get motivated from infinite sources like book characters, television stars, teachers, actress. Or even from her own mom. And then they wanna be like them, mimicking...
I did, too. To be specific, my role-models changed quite often. I was impressed muchly by their lives in full of frenzied enthusiasm ...The Blaze, I was fascinated by their lives...
I've been thinking that mimicking is not to tranfer the center of oneself to others nor to be some other person. It's the process to be impressed, and to be Real Oneself(self-awareness)modifying themselves, I think. And it's, at least, better than self-abhorrence, self-torture, self-absorption. Earful talks. But this is why I created this page. I'll update it regularly on some of the past idols of me in series.
First woman I selected. The woman of background image was my role-model. I was primarily impressed by the artistic, passionate person.
Chun hae-rin... She was a trancendent intellectual in Korean women history who committed suicide at the age of 31. She didn't write her own novel. Only the short essays remain. I've never thought to be a writer, but her life was a lot interesting to me...
